Individual, Family, and Couples Counseling

All of us need help at times in our lives and seeking professional counseling can speed the path to wellness. Counseling supports you in sharpening the tools needed to cope with your past and current struggles, bringing you to a new level of health. Counseling can be a very private and personal process. I will treat you and your family with the utmost respect and confidentiality.

School and home are very large influences, but often times it feels that their friends have all the power. This shift in the priorities in teens can be very challenging for the family. Teens themselves are often struggling in finding their way with new freedoms and the pull of peers down both good and bad roads. In addition, this is a time when emotional struggles from earlier development start to surface as anger, sadness, isolation from friends and family, depression and anxieties. Have you been trying to talk with your teen and feel like they are not listening, do not care, or refuse to talk with you? If you are answering yes to this there is hope as I and other counselors have helped many families work through these struggles.

Communication struggles, parenting, anger, intimacy issues and betrayal can push couples apart from each other if not addressed through open communication and energy to make things right. This can often be quite difficult for couples to do on their own. Sometimes relationships fail and it can be very hard to transition to being single and redefining who we are apart from our partner. Counseling is a great place to work through these struggles with someone who will listen to each person and provide an outside perspective to help the couple and/or individual move toward personal healing.

Are you struggling with feeling sad, depressed, anxious, worried, betrayed or loss? I can help guide you through these challenges. Wouldn’t it be great if we all had all of our past and current struggles figured out by the time we were all adults. Having an outside perspective providing knowledge, hope, empathy and an honest representation can help guide you down a path to deep healing and personal discovery.
